Advocating with user-generated content
In our fourth NLO podcast, we discuss how content created by independent voices and storytelling can serve as powerful tools to advocate. The Nobody Left Outside initiative collaborated with filmmaker and photographer Alan Compton created the “Point of View” photo exhibition, capturing the personal viewpoint of individuals facing significant challenges in accessing healthcare. In this podcast, we explore why capturing lived experience narratives is so important in raising awareness and improving understanding of those living on the edges of the health care system, and further in advocating for more inclusive health and social care systems.
Join us for an exciting and insightful discussion with:
- Alan Compton, photo journalist
- Roberto Pérez Gayo, Correlation – European Harm Reduction Network
- Denis Onyango, Africa Advocacy Organisation
- Alyna Smith, PICUM (Platform for International Cooperation on Undocumented Migrants)
Moderated by Paul Adamson from Encompass.
